Every modern enterprise runs on integration. Every modern enterprise also has a graveyard of integration projects that became someone else's problem in year three. The difference between the two is not technology — it is whether the architecture, the governance, and the operating model were designed for what came after the first launch.

Where I focus

Strategy and architecture, not point-to-point plumbing.

I work at the level where integration decisions become business decisions: which platform belongs in the centre, which protocol pattern fits which problem, when to build versus buy versus partner, and how to design the operating model that keeps it all running five years out.

iPaaS and API platform strategy — MuleSoft, UnifyApps, Workato, the open-source contenders. Which one fits depends on your existing landscape, your team's depth, your appetite for vendor lock-in, and your governance capacity. The answer is rarely obvious and rarely the same for two companies.

API lifecycle and ecosystem design — public APIs, partner APIs, internal APIs each have different governance, different SLAs, different monetisation paths. Treating them the same is how you get the legacy mess everyone is now paying to clean up.

Legacy modernisation — TIBCO to MuleSoft, SAP PI to API-led, ESB to iPaaS. I have done these migrations at scale; I know which ones are worth doing and which ones are better left in maintenance until the system retires.
